Managing the Paper Clutter - How?

Nursery school newletters, cookie dough order forms; how to organize all this while maintaining some sort of control over what navigates it's way through my door?  How do you address the mountains of mail, flyers, bills and the like?  What is a good system?

  1. I am with you on this one. I am also a teacher now a mum doing both. I bought a heap of folders with plastic pockets and side tabs. I put the folders into catergories, home budget, family activities for newsletters, flyers etc.
The home budget folder i named a tab for phone, electricity etc. with plastic pockets before them with the bills placed inside. If the bill is due place a tab on it until paid. At the front of the folder I have a monthly calendar and everytime a bill comes in, write it on the calendar so each week review what needs to be paid. When you do pay the bill write paid in the calendar and take the tag off. You will be surprised how organised you will be and it only takes 5 mins a week to update.
    Good luck!
